On February 23 the FPF will host its first event of 2015: Our guest is Dr. Shadi Hamid from Brookings Institute’s Center for Middle East Policy. Hamid will under the title “Islam, Islamism and Violence: The Middle East as an Exception?” share his insights on the current rise of Islamist terror in the Middle East and particularly on the recent Charlie Hebdo attacks in Paris and ISIS.
On December 9 the FPF hosted its last event of the year: Milliyer daily newspaper columnist Kadri Gürsel and Radikal daily newspaper foreign news editor Fehim Taştekin shared their evaluation of Turkish foreign policy successes and failures in 2014 and their prognosis for the upcoming year.
On November 25 the FPF welcomed Assoc, Prof. Dr. Murat Tezcür from Chicago’s Loyola University. Tezcür discussed the recent turn in Iranian-American relations and the internal dynamics of the Rouhani regime.
